Economic Empowerment

Light For All International Ministries has established and created income-generating opportunities for women, vulnerable children, youth and the elderly.

We aims at giving these groups  physical, emotional and spiritual springboards which will enable them to live lives that are full, productive and positive.

Working in a Rural and Agricultural Community

The community in which we are located is situated is largely rural, with most people making very low incomes through agricultural activities.

Our activities are targeted toward vulnerable women, particularly widows and those living with HIV/AIDS, as well as  youth, and the elderly.

We are committed to a development process that promotes equality. We believe in and strives to uphold the rights and dignity of all people especially in the rural communities. We uphold principles of stewardship with its resources and is committed to support vulnerable children and disadvantaged people fight poverty, ignorance and diseases such as Malaria and HIV/AIDS.

Accomplishments

We have empowered quite a number of  women house hold  with knowledge and skills in piggery, and poultry farming as a way of addressing rural poverty and provided them with a set of basic tools and support to help them get off the poverty trap.

Vocational and Life Skills Training Program

Finally, sponsored some young people for driving courses as funds may allow, some have got driving licence and are now employed. We do this when funds allow. It, is our plan to start a driving school in our area to help many young unemployed youths.

We have facilitated the development of economic sustainability for previously destitute individuals with little or no income. We also had 7 workshops for our clients where 200 women, girls and youth were provided training and individualized instruction in entrepreneurship, marketing techniques for small businesses, micro finance, and the implementation of income generating activities.

The Organisation has identified viable income generating projects through simple feasibility studies. E.g. establish viable investments like LFAIM being part of a local SAACO and or coming up with LFAIM Family SACCO and LFAIM Investment Club. Consequently, such innovations have attracted government capitalization or funding programmes from Micro Finance Support Centre and other Government Agencies. Ministry
